Our Volunteers
All the volunteers have an extensive knowledge of the Centre and they offer a warm, friendly, approachable, and safe environment to help women find solutions to their problems in the hope that they will be able to implement the necessary changes that will hopefully enhance their lives. All volunteers are trained in supportive listening skills and can provide information on many topics.
I have volunteered at the centre for 2 years. It has been a good experience even with the pandemic. It is extremely rewarding and a privilege to share with people.
SHEILA
I have worked at the Women’s Centre for 13 years now. I have also volunteered for the NHS Mental Health Helpline, Cedar House Counselling, The Samaritan’s, and Chorley Advocacy service. I also have 2 years’ experience in counselling training.
